Lean-to conservatory roof replacement
The lean-to is the most common conservatory in Cheshire, and its single sloping roof makes it the most straightforward one to re-roof. The old polycarbonate or glass comes off, an insulated roof goes on, and your frames stay exactly where they are.
The two roofs that suit a lean-to
- Insulated panel roof. The natural fit for a lean-to: insulated composite panels slot in where the old sheets were, 1 to 2 days on site, around half the cost of a tiled roof, and the rain noise polycarbonate is famous for is gone.
- Tiled roof. A SupaLite or WarmerRoof insulated tiled roof with a plastered ceiling inside, for a lean-to that should feel like a proper room. Jerry checks the pitch and the frames when he sees them and tells you straight which roof the shape will take.

Can a lean-to roof be replaced without replacing the conservatory?
Yes, that is the normal job. If the frames are in good condition only the roof changes, which is what keeps the cost and the disruption down.
How long does a lean-to re-roof take?
Panel roofs are usually finished in 1 to 2 days. A tiled roof takes longer depending on size and shape.
Will my frames take a solid roof?
Usually yes, because modern systems weigh about the same as the glass they replace, but we check first, and if your frames cannot take it we will tell you straight rather than fit it anyway.
